Debut CD: Flying Through

Naomi is extremely relieved and thrilled about the release of this album. The studio recording took place over the course of three and a half years, but the writing, pondering, and pining took much longer. The album features twelve original songs, plus a cover of Jesse Winchester's Lay Down the Burden of Your Heart. That is over sixty minutes of acoustic music in a style which combines elements of bluegrass, jazz, blues, and American country-roots music. In addition to Naomi's vocals, guitar and flute, the album features several accomplished players on instruments including banjo, trumpet, fiddle, bass trombone, mandolin, button accordion, piano, resonator guitar, African and Latin percussion, and strong vocal harmonies.

Musicians:
Naomi Sommers lead and harmony vocals, guitar, flute
